Meet JIM CROCE He is a stunning Siberian Husky who almost lost his life. He was rescued from Contra Costa Animal Services on his very last day on the euthanasia list—just hours away from everything ending. Jim was found as a stray, confused and alone, and brought to the shelter without ever knowing why. Despite everything he went through, Jim never lost his gentle soul. He is about 2 years old, weighs approximately 62 lbs, and is vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered. Jim is a smart boy who will thrive with proper training and guidance—he is eager to learn and wants to do well. What Jim wants most is simple: to be with his human, to feel safe, and to be loved. He is incredibly sweet, affectionate, and deserving of a family who will never let him down again. Jim Croce survived when so many don’t. Meet Kevin, our incredibly handsome Pit Bull Terrier mix who was rescued from Contra Costa Animal Services after being placed on the euthanasia list. He is fully vaccinated,  neutered, and microchipped. He’s currently working with professional trainers, where he’s thriving and socializing beautifully with other dogs. Meet Lil Jon – Saved Just in Time, Now Waiting for Love 

Lil Jon was just a scared puppy, alone and confused in Contra Costa Animal Services… and only minutes away from losing his life. He didn’t understand where he was or why he had been left behind—but we couldn’t leave him there. So we gave him the second chance he deserved.

Now, this sweet boy is ready to find the forever home that will never let him go. 

Lil Jon is about 1 year old, a terrier mix, and weighs approximately 45 lbs. He is fully vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped—healthy and ready to start his new life.

And he’s not just adorable—he’s an absolute gem:

 Lets you know when he needs to go outside
 Respectful in the home—no destructive behavior
 Can free-roam when left alone for a few hours

Meet Luna — the gentle soul who refuses to let her past define her 

Luna, our lovable Staffordshire Terrier mix, was rescued just in time from Contra Costa Animal Services after being heartbreakingly placed on the euthanasia list. What she’s been through hasn’t dimmed her light — if anything, it’s made her even more loving.

This sweet girl carries a few small bumps on her head from past mistreatment, but they don’t slow her down one bit. Luna is incredibly affectionate, people-focused, and thrives on love and attention. She’s the kind of dog who will quietly lean into you, soak up every bit of affection, and remind you what unconditional love really looks like.

At about 5–6 years old and 51 lbs, Luna is:

She’s currently in training and being thoughtfully socialized. Luna does well with other dogs and prefers to keep the peace — she’s smart enough to avoid any drama and chooses calm companionship instead.
