Meet Adam Lambert
He is a sweet, gentle soul who only wanted one thing—to live. He didn’t want to die alone in a shelter kennel at Contra Costa Animal Services. He just wanted a chance. We were able to pull this handsome boy at the very last minute. It was stressful, heartbreaking, and emotional—but Adam held on, and now he’s safe. Adam is about 2–2.5 years old, weighs around 60 lbs, and is vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped. He is a loving, affectionate boy who truly shines when he’s with his people. He enjoys the company of other dogs and would make a wonderful family dog. Adam is smart and eager to please. He just needs a little leash training, and with patience and love, he will learn quickly. What Adam needs most is a family—someone to show him that he is safe, wanted, and loved. This boy has been through so much, yet his heart is still pure and kind. He deserves a home where he will never again have to wonder if tomorrow will come. If you are interested in adopting, foster-to-adopt, or even fostering Adam, please contact the rescue. Saving Adam’s life was only the first step—now we need to help him find his forever home.

Meet Allen J –
Meet Allen J – Your New Best Friend! A Contra Costa Animal Services survivor. I’m a petite, handsome Pittie mix with a big heart and lots of love to give. I am vaccinated neutered, microchipped . I am about 2 yrs old and weigh about 47 lbs. I’m a very happy, healthy boy who truly enjoys life and the people (and pups!) around me. I play wonderfully with the other puppies in my playgroup and absolutely love my toys—I tend to put everything in my mouth, which makes my foster mom think I’m still a puppy at heart. I’m also very intelligent, listen well, and I’m highly trainable. I would thrive with professional training because I’m eager to learn and extremely motivated to please my humans. I can be a little shy at first, so I’m looking for a patient and loving forever human who can give me a safe space to build trust. Once I feel comfortable, I warm up quickly and become a loyal, affectionate companion. I’m respectful with other dogs. I’m also very curious about kitties! I have a medium energy level—I enjoy long walks, car rides, and playful activities, but I’m just as happy relaxing at home with my people. I’m not much of a barker unless I sense something unusual, which makes me a great little watchdog. I sleep soundly through the night and always wake up excited to see you and start the day together. You won’t regret adopting me—I’m ready to give unconditional love, loyalty, and lots of happy tail wags to my forever family. I can’t wait to meet you! Hugs & kisses, Allen J

Meet CHIQUIS — a tiny soul who is learning how to trust again. Chiquis and her two siblings were found as stray dogs and taken to Contra Costa Animal Services. We believe they were abandoned by the only family they ever knew, left confused, scared, and alone on the streets. No dog deserves to feel unwanted, especially not one as sweet and gentle as Chiquis. When we rescued her, Chiquis was terrified of the world. She was extremely shy, timid, and unsure if humans were safe. Her little heart had been broken. But with patience, love, and dedication from her amazing foster, Chiquis has slowly begun to heal. Every small step forward has been a victory. Chiquis is about 1 year old, 32 lbs, and is vaccinated, spayed, and microchipped. She is good with other dogs and people, but when meeting someone new, she may bark at first — not out of aggression, but out of fear. Once she realizes she is safe, she melts into the sweetest, most loving girl who just wants to be close and feel protected. She has been through so much, and because of that, she needs a patient, gentle, and understanding family who will give her the time she needs to fully trust again. Someone who will show her that she will never be abandoned again. Someone who will love her for the rest of her life. Chiquis is waiting for her forever home — the home where her story finally changes from heartbreak to happiness. If you are interested in adopting or foster-to-adopt, please contact the rescue.
